Dennis Ross

Edward Dennis Ross, 62, Hiseville, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was a son of Mary Elizabeth Parrish Ross of Hiseville and the late Edward C. Ross. He was a retired social worker at the Bureau of Social Insurance for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, a farmer, and a member and Deacon of the Hiseville Christian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandy Terry Ross; one son, Eddie Ross and wife Kelley of Hiseville; one daughter, Terri Ward and husband Jeff of Hendersonville, TN; two grandchildren, Campbell and Elaine Ross; two brothers, Mike Ross and David Ross and wife Shirley all of Glasgow; an aunt, Betty Bailey of Glasgow; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ev Atkinson of Hiseville and Marcia Terry and her husband Bill McCauley of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; his life-long friend Donny Bowles and his wife Denise, and his beloved church family at Hiseville Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hiseville Christian Church with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 12 noon Saturday at the church. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hiseville Christian Church.
Sandy, we were so sorry to hear of your loss. We are out of town and will not be able to come by the funeral home. Dennis was such a great guy and had been a friend for so many years. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with you.

Sandy, I am still in shock as I know you are and the kids. I thank the Lord that I got to see Dennis Sunday at Watermill. He was like a big brother to me during our many years together at the Social Ins. Office. I have soooo many good memories of both you and Dennis and Eddie and Terry. I am so sorry and will continually pray for you and the family. I know he will be greatly missed by all and the gchildren.

Sandy and Family, Our deepest sympathy to you all in the passing of Dennis. I first met Dennis as a caseworker for Richard’s Mom, when she was in the nursing home. He made a very good impression from the beginning, as being the kind and caring person he was. You all have been such good friends to Mary Sutton ,William and Katie.
