Betty Jane White

Betty Jane White, 87, Glasgow, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Glenview Health Care Center. A native of Logan, WV, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille Coalmer Chafin. She was a retired bookkeeper at Campbell, Myers & Rutledge, CPA’s, and a longtime member of the First Christian Church, where she was a faithful member of the Sanctuary Choir and Pianist for the Primary Sunday School Department.
Survivors include two sisters, Naomi (Tom) Okuma of Boulder, CO, and Nancy (Tony) Nieves of Nicholasville, KY; three nieces, Jane (Tom) Irwin of Port Matilda, PA, Katy (Mike) White of Boulder, and Margaret (Andy) Leon of New York City; two nephews, Dan Nieves and Scott (Holly) Nieves of Nicholasville; 4 great-nieces; 6 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece and 1 great-great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Paul White.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. CST Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Highland Memory Gardens in Logan, WV. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to your favorite charity.
