I was very saddened to learn that Mr. Greer had passed away. I will always remember him as a true role-model when I was a student at Park City High School and especially when he was my teacher in Vocational Agriculture and was my FFA Advisor. As I remember it, Mr. Greer started with us at Park City pretty soon in his teaching career. He always was an encouragement to me. I remember going with him and about four other of my classmates in FFA to Kansas City MO for the National FFA Convention. He had just bought a new red Chevy Impala and we rode with him in his new car. I had never been that far away from home before, but it was a wonderful experience that I have never forgotten. When I graduated from Park City, I spent two years at WKU majoring in Ag Education. I planned to follow in the steps of Mr. Greer to teach Agriculture and be a FFA Advisor. However, I soon had a change of plans as I went in the Ministry and have done so every since. My four years in FFA with Mr. Greer have served me well over the years.
To his family, I extend my deepest sympathy. I will forever be grateful for Mr. Greer. May God bless and comfort each of you.

  11. Bobby Adwell says:

Mr. Greer and Mr. Colliver taught us youngsters quite alot during those times. I fell asleep during my first year of Ag and I’ll never forget a book being slamed beside my head to get my attention to remain awake. I have used that same movement to train 100’s of young Marines over the 31 years I have served. Stronge Man, = Strong teachings. You taught me well, Sir. Teresa and I will keep both you and your family in our prayers.

He loved him and deeply respected him. Unfortunately, due to Jay’s surgery we will be unable to make the trip to Glasgow to the funeral. Jay will be very sad to hear of Mr. Greer’s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Respectfully, Sharon Jackman
