Frank David Simmons

Frank David Simmons, 48, Glasgow, died Tuesday, June 05, 2012, at his residence. He was a son of Eunice David Simmons and Cynthia Vianna Keeton Simmons. He was a farmer and had worked in the monument business. He was an avid fisherman and an avid supporter of Kosair Charities and their projects. He attended the Coral Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah; his father, Eunice David Simmons; two brothers, Jimmy Keeton (Kim) and Harvey Simmons (Jenny); five sisters, Eunice Slayton (Ricky), Gail Etherton (Stanley), Marlene Franklin (Donnie), Sandy Smith (Tony), and Lisa Wyatt (John); his parents-in-law, George and Ada Christy; three brothers-in-law, Tim McCandless, Greg McCandless (Twana), and Jeff McCandless; one sister-in-law, Rita McCandless; his devoted canine companion, Little Bit; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Vianna Simmons; one brother, Roy Keeton; and his father-in-law, Wallace McCandless.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

To the Simmons family: We go back a long way and I am so sorry to hear about David, he will be greatly missed but he is without pain and awaiting for us at the golden gates entering into that wonderful home we are going to have one day. If I can do anything or you need to talk just call me 579-3406. We have had some great times in the past on Front St. and Hillcrest but those are the days to remember. Hello John! It was great talking with you a few mitenus ago. We are happy to hear you sounded so good. After we hung up we looked up where you are now on Rt. 469 and Terry, MS. The countryside looks beautiful and flat. Terry looks like a piece of southern Americana. We almost felt like we were right there with you.
