David Eugene Smith, 38, of Smiths Grove, died Thursday, September 20, 2012.
He is survived by his wife: April D. Smith; two sons: Dalton Vance and Christian Bragg; his father: Daniel Eugene Smith and his wife Sherri; his mother: Linda Poynter Rigdon and her husband Ed; one sister: April Smith Carter and her husband Jason; step-sister: Deanna Duvall; paternal grandmother: Evelyn Smith; mother-in-law: Shirley Stephens; father-in-law: Ray Hurst.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.

April I am so deeply saddened for your loss of David. I know that God placed two individuals on this earth to be together and it was definitely you and him. I cannot imagine what you must be going through at this time in your life but I want you all to know that I am praying for you and that if you need anything at all please do not hesitate to let me know.

David and I had a lot of great times at Park City! He was such a blast to hang out with!

Sorry to hear of the loss of David. He was one of my great friends in school. I haven’t seen him in ages, but I always thought about him. He is a very memorable person. I will never forget him nor the nickname he gave me in elementary school. 🙂 My heart and prayers goes out to his family. God Bless.

I remember David when we lived on the same street as kids, we all hung out together, got into your typical mischief David was fun to hang out with, he and my brother James were buddies. So very sorry to hear of his passing. God bless
