January 27, 1937 ~ September 7, 2012
Joe D. Houchens, 75, Glasgow, died Friday, September 07, 2012, at his residence. He was the son of the late Payton and Dorothy Lillian Taylor Houchens. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Gladys Houchens; one son: Ronnie Darrell Houchens; one daughter Teresa Jones and her husband Jimmy; on step-son: Richard Greene; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son Danny Wayne Morgan; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 A. M. Sunday at the funeral home.

I”m deeply saddn by the loss of your family member . I too loss my farther a year ago and its hard to let him go , but he will be at peace now and will have know more pain. My family and I went two long hard years of watching dad with his bad days and good days . I was glad I was there for him and will never regret that. He will always be in your hearts and looking down on your family. God Bless Ya’ll.

Sorry for your loss Big Joe sure will be missed .He was a great man and one my dad’s best friends .My heart and prayers goes out to the family May GOD keep his hands over each one of you though this time of need .Love you’ll wish I could have been there. Chad sends his love and prayers also ….
My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Just find comfort in knowing that Joe is in a better place now where there is no pain and no sorrow. We will all see Joe again someday.
