Helen Francis Thompson Roeder, 83, of Glasgow, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Barren County she was born the oldest of five children to the late Haskel and Ova Francis. She was an L.P.N. at the T. J. Samson Hospital, Glasgow State Hospital and in Louisville, KY for 37 years.

She is survived by two sons: Jim Thompson (Kaye) and Bobby Roeder (Sandy); two sisters: Jean Bybee (Dick) and Patricia Kerley (Hershel); one brother: Howard Francis (Ruthann); ten grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her family at Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation, where she resided for over ten years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Vera Nell McCoy. Helen’s request was to be cremated. No visitation or funeral services are scheduled at this time. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
