Dear Carolyn & family, Mary & Winston, Dr Paul & Margaret: I enjoyed knowing Sam & Sandy from seeing them often at Miller’s Rehab. We used the pool together plus I remember him from Houchens Grocery. He was a dandy person & so good to talk with while exercising. I am sorry that I did not realize he was so sick as it had been awhile since I’d seen him. Please accept my sympathy in you & your family’s loss. Sincerely yours.
I knew Sam while we were students students at Murray State in the late 60’s – Even as a young man Sam was a true Southern gentleman – Thru my friend Jim Brooks, I always followed the comings and goings of Sam and Sandy – Jim always wanted the “boys” to get together for a reunion so we could show off our gray hairs – sad to say the reunion never happened – I’ll always remember Sam’s infectious smile and quiet countenance – My prayers are with you all over what I know must be a terrible loss- Kyle Payne
sending love and prayers to a wonderful family .
Sam was my roommate for a semester at MSU. Just a terrific, funny guy. Sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with his family.
