Edna E. Breitenfeld
January 9, 1938 ~ July 25, 2013
Edna E. Breitenfeld, 75, Glasgow, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the Glasgow Health & Rehabilitation Center. A daughter of the late William Frank and Lissia Pearl Dugard Gass, she was a retired nurses’ aide, and a member of the Glasgow First Church of God.
Survivors include six children: Johnnie Green and wife Mary Jo; Theresa Richardson and husband Alan; Lisa Ketterer and husband Rob; Terry Green; Brenda Orlando; and Helen Aldridge; two step-sons: Michael Duane Breitenfeld and wife Shannon, and Christopher Lee Breitenfeld; 14 grandchildren: Adam, Dylan, Casey, and Jennifer Green; Mitchell and Reagan VanCleave; Terri Lee, Nicole, and Danielle Green; Justin and Wesley Cleaver; Christy, Tiffany, and Steven Aldridge; two step-grandchildren: Dustin Michael Breitenfeld and Samantha Hailey Breitenfeld; three great-grandchildren: A. J. and Ty Green, and McKenzie Salas; three sisters: Lee Ann Kirn and husband Joe, Barbara Jean Dugard, and Carolyn Anderson and husband Talbert; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands: Elmer Lee Green and Duane N. Breitenfeld; two sisters: Marjorie Shaw and Brenda Judd; four brothers: William Gass, Jerry Wayne Gass, P. G. Gass, and Ed Gass.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.

I am thankful for the life of Edna and the inspiration she was to those who knew her as well as the lives she touched of people she didn’t know. She truly was and will continue to be an example of what God wants each of us to be. I know when she reached Heaven, the Lord welcomed her in as a good and faithful servant.
