Marie S. Simpson
October 15, 1915 ~ October 24, 2013
Marie S. Simpson, 98, Glasgow, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Metcalfe Health Care Center. A native of Russell Springs, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Rena Atchley Sullivan. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons: David Simpson, Bobby Simpson, and Steve Simpson and his wife Betty Lou, all of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Eddie Simpson, Nicole Simpson, and Straddie Simpson; four great-grandchildren: Clayton and Jessie Simpson, Madison and Hunter Faulkner; two sisters: Constance Smith and Gloria Bain Loy Robertson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joshua Alley ( J. A.) Simpson; one grandson: Bogard Simpson; 6 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

OH may I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful mother and lady. I loved Maria and she was wonderful and a true friend to me and many. I was in Louisville this weekend seeing my granddaughter perform at her church. She and Josh were just great and I am so proud of you boys. Love and strength to you all in the days a head. She had a great reception in heaven, They had so much love that was shared all their lives.
Marie was a very good friend of my mother and father, Elizabeth and Felix Moss. They thought so much and so fondly of her. Our condolences go to all the family, on the passing of a very fine woman
