Neva Nell High
March 7, 1927 ~ December 31, 2014
Neva Nell High, 87, Tompkinsville, passed away peacefully December 31, 2014, at the Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late James Brents and Enna Pedigo McPherson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Gilead Church of Christ. She had previously worked at various occupations including J.O. Frank, pants factories, and The Village Shop; but her favorite was helping her husband of 64 years, Dave High, tend the family farm and care for their children and grandchildren. Dave preceded her in death in 2006.
Survivors include three sons: Jimmie High and his wife, Linda Carolyn of Tompkinsville, Junior High and his wife, Donna, of Nashville, Tommy High and his wife, Judy, of Glasgow; one daughter: Judy H. Turner of Tompkinsville; 9 grandchildren, Greg High and wife, Penni of Tompkinsville, Ginger High Colvin and husband, Robert, of Campbellsville, Brent High and wife, Emily, Chad High and wife, Laura Beth, and Lance High and wife, Heather, all of Nashville, Susie High Lucas and husband, Byron, of Bowling Green, David High and wife, Bhavini, of Lexington, Jason Turner and wife, Pauletta, of Greensburg, and Leslie Turner of Tompkinsville; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Jean Bartley and Jeanette Harlan of Tompkinsville, Ruth St. Amant and husband Ernie of Burns, TN; one brother: Wallace McPherson and wife Doris of Tompkinsville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Weldon McPherson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Gilead Church of Christ with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Kosair Charities. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Dear High Family
We are truly sorry for your loss, I know she was a beautiful example of a loving mother and wife.
Its important to focus on the hope that Jesus himself described in John 5:28,29 and Pauls confidence in Acts 24:15 where it speaks of the resurrection of all those in the memorial tombs. And like you, I too look forward to that reunion.
