Larry W. Richardson
December 22, 1946 ~ April 9, 2015
Larry W. Richardson, 68, Glasgow, died Thursday, April 09, 2015, at his residence. A son of the late Harry R. and Eugenia Crenshaw Richardson, he was a retired truck driver for Park City Southern States, a part-time farmer raising tobacco and beef cattle, and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his wife Darlene; his children: Jamie Rucker and husband Brad of Columbia, Greg Richardson, Jon Richardson and wife Nikki, Jennifer Atwood all of Glasgow, Angie Bryan and husband Jay of Louisville; his grandchildren: Makaylee Ward of Columbia, Erica Richardson, Andy Richardson and wife Megan, Brooklyn Dismon and husband Dylan, Andrea Purchis and husband Mike, Ryan and Nick Meadows all of Glasgow; Lilly and A. J. Bryan of Louisville; 2 step-grandchildren: Brook and Brittney Rucker of Glasgow; 5 great-grandchildren: Maddie Richardson, Dylan Boggs, Addie Purchis, Cullen Meadows, and Kinleigh Hurt all of Glasgow; 3 brothers: Jimmy Richardson and wife Carol of Louisville, Bobby A. Richardson and wife Wendy and Jeff Richardson all of Glasgow; four sisters: Janice Nadile and husband Ronnie, Carolyn Brooks and husband Dana, Joyce Skaggs all of Glasgow, Doris Richardson of Brownsville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Logan Wayne Richardson and Jaycie Bryan; and one brother: Tommy Richardson.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will be in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Darlene, my dear friend. My heart goes out to you and your family during this time of sorrow. It has been nearly 2 years since I went through this same pain. Depend on God for your comfort for he is the light to help you get through these next few days. I love you and your family and pray for God to wrap his comforting arms around you and shield you. Darlene, I am so sorry for your loss of your husband. I have known you longer than him. He is friends with my father -in-law I think. Anyways I just wanted to let you know that my heart goes out to you and your family. I babysat for John and Nikki for several years and I also babysat for Johns sister for awhile too few years ago. So we worked at Mallory’s for years so I know you better than I knew your husband which I did not really know him but knew of him through his kids and grand kids . Anyways I just wanted to tell you that I am so sorry for your loss, guess you all have been married for a long time. May God comfort you during this time of your loss and his family too. To John Richardson and his family, Nikki and Andy and Brooklyn, I am so sorry for your all’s loss of your father and Grandfather also. I know it must be so hard for you all at this loss. Just wanted to let you know that my prayers will be with you all for comfort in this loss also. My prayers also go to your sisters Jennifer and I forget your other sisters name, I am so sorry. I just talked to her a couple of days ago on Facebook. Oh well you know who I am talking about, sorry my memory is not so good anymore, getting old.
