Sam Ballard
July 12, 1949 ~ June 11, 2015
Sam Ballard, 65, Glasgow, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A native of Barren County, he was a son of Emma Byrd Ballard of Glasgow and the late Marvin Ballard. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, his survivors include one daughter: Melissa Wheeler and husband Chris; two grandchildren: Matt Wheeler and wife Nicki, and Amber Wheeler all of Glasgow; two brothers: Phillip Ballard and wife Becky, and Harold Ballard and wife Ann; two sisters: Jennie Martin and husband Eugene, and Shirley Toms and husband Jessie; one brother-in-law: James Flowers; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Louise Deweese Ballard, and one sister B. J. Flowers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
So sorry to hear of your loss – Sam knew he is a child of GOD and many loved him-he touched so many people with his kindness and love for others, however, any passing of a loved one is not easy, no matter what kind of condition they are in or what happened to cause their leaving this world –Time only helps us to deal with the loss here knowing someday all will be united again–May The Circle Be Unbroken–Keeping each one in our prayers

we are so very sad to hear for the loss and passing of sam he was the sweetest and friendliest person you could ever meet and know he always love to go to church and I always loved to see him attend church you all are in our thoughts and prayers we love you more than you will ever know if any of you need us for anything you know that we are here and that we will be there and do anything for you that we can and he sure did love old pa and old ma and I am just so thankful that they got to be together he was so good to take care of them and they would take care of him too because I always was at old pas and old mas when he would be over there and we would get to visit with him with all of our heart soul and love we never will forget him he is another angel watching over us casey rena colvin Jennifer rena colvin Kenneth allen colvin
