Jimmy Darrell Garrett
September 15, 1947 ~ June 3, 2016
Jimmy Darrell Garrett, 68, Glasgow, passed away Friday, June 03, 2016, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was a son of James H. Garrett and the late Vera Kingrey Garrett. He was a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church where he was baptized in 1962. He had worked for many years in carpet and flooring installation.
He is survived by his Father James H. Garrett; one daughter Kim Lambert and husband Owen; two granddaughters: Kaci Ray and husband Seth, and Leslie Cherry and husband Tyler; one grandson: Will Lambert and wife Erica; a great-granddaughter Kilee Ray; two great-grandsons: Aiden Adwell and Landon Wilkerson; one brother: Wayne Garrett and wife Cindy; two step-sisters: Ruby Carver and Gertie Hodges; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Vera Kingrey Garrett; his Step-Mother Dorothy Opal Garrett; one grandson: Justin Garrett Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
I am so saddened to hear of the loss of such a sweet soul. We will certainly miss Jimmy coming to see us at the Ritter House. It seems I’ve known Jimmy for the most of my life & he has always been so kind to me. Ruby & Gertie, I love you both so very much. You will be in my thoughts & prayers. I sure will miss Jimmy.

James, Wayne, Kim and family I am so sorry for your losses. Jimmy was a person that was loved and respected by our family. I am in Florida and am so sorry I will not be able to attend services. Jimmy will be missed by our community. I love you.
Jimmy was a really good man and was an old school carpet man that knew how to do it right. He was a friend and will be missed. Just for you Jimmy uh huh! You don’t say.

I just found out Jimmy, my former neighbor had passed. Jimmy was such a good neighbor and friend for many years. There will never be another one like him. Always willing to help any way he could. He will be missed dearly. Prayers to his family and friends.
