Jerry Brent Coleman

Jerry Brent Coleman, 72, Griderville, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Joseph Lucian Coleman and Nettie Goff Coleman.
Jerry graduated from Hiseville High School and then served with the Kentucky National Guard. He was a lifelong farmer; co-owner of J & J Sales of Glasgow; and a member of Salem Baptist Church where he had also served as Deacon since August, 1989.
Survivors include his wife Linda; one son: Jerry Allen (Jay) Coleman and his wife Rochelle, along with their children Abigail and Adeline Coleman; one daughter: Mary Vickery along with her children Emily Lynn Witty and Mindy Marie Vickery; one great-granddaughter: Raeleigh Brook Witty; one brother: Joe Coleman; and his parents-in-law: Depp and Dot Thompson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Linda Coleman we are so sorry for your loss of your husband. I just now seen it in the Glasgow daily times. So sad to loose anyone we love so much but I am sure he is a born again Christian. Here is how I describe Jerry Coleman. Dedicated to his family, very hard worker, respected by his peers, could practically do anything mechanical, truck driving fool, dependable, and a good Christian. RIP Jerry! You did good while here with us.
