Rita Ann Staples
December 31, 1946 ~ September 10, 2016
Rita Ann Greer Staples, 69, Glasgow, died Saturday, September 10, 2016, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Truman Greer and Naomi Atwell Greer. She was a former employee of G & K Equipment, Ben & Elmer Tractor, and most recently had been employed in the loan processing department of South Central Bank. She was a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church where she also served as the Church Clerk and Sunday School Secretary.
Survivors include her husband Tommy Staples, Sr.; four children: David Handy and wife Rebecca of Greensburg, Brian Handy and wife Teresa of Campbellsville, Tommy Staples, Jr. and wife Tina of Glasgow, and Mikki Owens and husband Aaron of Honolulu, HI; nine grandchildren: Camron Handy, Quentin Staples and wife Faith, Tyler Staples, Brianna Handy, Madison Handy, Mason Owen, Kalei Staples, Jacob Owens, and Michael Owens; one brother: Gary Greer and wife Ginger of Crestwood, KY; one nephew: Micah Greer and wife Sarah; one niece: Molly Greer; along with several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Coral Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
Big Tommy & Mikki, the rest of the family. I am soo sorry for your loss. You know our Jesus has us in His hands. That doesn’t make our pain nor our loss any less. You have lots & lots of prayers & prayer Warriors praying for you to feel peace through all of this. Lots of love going to you.

Rita has been a special friend of mine most all my life. I can’t tell you how sorry I am for the entire family.
