William R. Bonta
April 6, 1949 ~ October 11, 2016
William R. Bonta, Jr. of Austin, Kentucky formerly of Orlando, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was a son of the late William R. Bonta, Sr., and Stella Mae Spaulding Bonta. He was a retired fire inspector for Orange County, Florida and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife Myra Jameson Bonta; two sons: Jason and David Bonta; one daughter: Allison Curasi; five grandchildren: Celeste Bonta, Trenton Bonta, Andrew Curasi, Isabelle Weaver and Preston Bonta; two sisters: Mona Duffy and Debi Anderson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Scottsville First Untied Methodist Church and a memorial service in Orlando, Florida at a later date. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

The world could use more men like Bill. He was a peaceful, easy going man with a kind soul and a wonderful sense of humor.
Praying for you Myra and the family. He will be missed but I take comfort that he is still smiling with the Lord.
Every time I went to supply bill was always pleasant and went out of his way to get me whatever I needed. May God bless you and all of your family. 1Thes. 4: 14-18.
Bill brought the sunshine with him wherever he went. He always had a kind word or something funny to say. It was a privilege to know him and work with him.
Bill, you are loved, and you will be greatly missed.
Even though I only knew Bill on a professional level, what a great man and a credit to the Orange County Fire and Rescue. He was always helpful and would go out of his way to assist everyone in the department. I am very sad to hear of his passing for he will be missed. May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.
Bill was a very kind & respecful gentlemen. Always enjoy to hear the stories and look the pictures from before and after for the house in Kentukcy. It was a priviledge to know Bill and work with him. My thoughts and prayers for Myra and all the family. I know for sure that he is with the Lord. Bill you will be missed!!!
Thoughts and prayers to Myra and the rest of the Bonta family. Bill was a great person and was good to everyone he met. He will be thought of often and truly missed.
It is with sadness I hear of Bill’s passing.
At OCFD he was always cheerful and happy to help.
On a personal level he was a good friend.
Just the thought of Bill makes me smile and remember some funny moments.

May you each have the peace that passes all understanding. May your tears become joyful as you remember Bill fondly, as those of us do who worked with him. As unexpected as we find this, those of us who share Bill’s faith in God through Christ the Son know we will see him again. Please also know you are all remembered by name in prayer. Look for Bill’s warmth and spirit in his children, grandchildren, and the future generations. We’ve lost a gentleman, who was never ashamed of his testimony, and Heaven has gained a faithful son.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Bill. I worked with him quite often and always enjoyed his company. Bill was a kind and gentle man and always ready to assist when needed. My deepest sympathy to the entire Bonta family. You will be in my thoiughts and prayers during this difficult time.
