William “Red” Edward Chapman
April 12, 1935 ~ May 24, 2017
William Edward “Red” Chapman, 82, of Glasgow, passed away at home Wednesday, May 24, 2017 with his family around him. He was a son of the late Obie Lee and Mamie Alice Decker Chapman.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Edna Mae Clark Chapman; two sons: Charles “Buck” Chapman (Penny) and Roy Chapman (Janetta); four daughters: Kathy Carmicle (fiancé Michael Kinley), Brenda Smith (Tim), Donitta Tyler (John) and Mamie Flowers; eighteen grandchildren; one special grandson: Jimmy Daugherty; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one brother: David Chapman; two sisters: Betty Vibbert (Orval Jr.) and Annie Moock (Larry); several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son: James “Obie” Chapman, two brothers: Bobby Lee Chapman and Billy Joe Chapman; one grandson: Jason Lee York; three great grandsons, Zachery, Dylan and Jaxon Payne; two great granddaughters: Katie Mae Smith and Cheyanne Payne; two son-in-laws: Glendell Carmicle and Leon Flowers.
Funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

Buck & Family so sorry to hear of Reds passing,we always enjoyed talking to him & always enjoyed seeing his wood projects,he was a very talented,kind man our prayers with you all at this very sad time.
Donitta an Family, I’m so sorry for the loss of Red he was a great an funny man an well loved.He will be missed by many plus me But know in your hearts he is in a better place an no more pain.I have good memories of him an things he had builded that man was so talented just like papa was.
