Howard Daniel Rice, Sr.

Howard Daniel Rice, Sr., 71, Glasgow, died Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Charles Lewis Rice, Katherine Marie Lambirth Rice-Howard, and step-father Raymond Howard. He was a retired foreman at International Harvester; a U S Army Veteran of the Vietnam War; and a member of Little Barren Baptist Church at Sulphur Well, KY.
Survivors include his wife Rocky Rochelle Rice; nine children: Brian Hinkle, Yvonne Henderson (James), Howard Daniel Rice, Jr., Danielle Rice Haskins (Jeffrey), Wanetta Fields, Charles Luther Rice (Constance VanHook), Sheila Huffman (Robbie), Jennifer Ann Webb (James), and Angela Aaron (Tyrone Aaron); his twin brother, George Randall Rice, Sr. (Eddie); one sister, Jackie Rice Beamus.
He was preceded in death and loved by a host of brothers, sisters, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial to follow in Horse Cave Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 8 pm Friday and after 10 am Saturday at the funeral home.
