Jervis Childress, 91, Glasgow, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at her residence. A native of Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Tommie and Lura Thompson Childress. She was a retired assembler for General Motors; a member of the Hiseville Christian Church; and a member of the United Auto Workers.

Survivors include one sister, Virginia Owen of Louisville; one brother-in-law, Lonnie London of Hiseville; eight nieces and nephews: Kevin London, John London, Anthony London, Allen Dossey, Stephanie Fleischer, Belinda Roberts, Leisa Summers, and June Dossey; several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Carol London, Lorene Childress, Imogene Dossey, and Delta Gauthier; and two nephews: Kenneth Dossey and Kelly Dossey.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The family prefers that all attendees wear a mask or face covering. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hiseville Christian Church.
