Calvin Melton, Jr.
August 19, 1936 ~ December 25, 2021
Calvin Melton, Jr. 85, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his residence. He was a son of the late Calvin Bud Melton, Sr. and Roxie Myrtle Horton Melton. He was a retired maintenance worker at SKF Industries and a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Patty Borders Melton; one daughter: Shelia Compton; one step-daughter: Tami Madson; two grandchildren: Chad Compton (Kelly) and Lauren Compton (Lewis); two step-grandchildren: Nick Swayne (Lauren) and Kaila Madson (Carlos); three step-great-grandchildren: Jack, Madi, and Natalie; one sister: Louise Craine; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Bobby Melton; and three sisters: Dorothy Lynam, Ruby Chapman, and Thelma Williams.
Funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at the funeral home.

I’m so so sorry sweet lady. I know this is hard but sweety he’s not suffering anymore he fought so hard to stay as long as he did! I love you both w all my heart and I’ll be here for you as much as I can. Kenzie said she loves u too . We will see you soon.
I worked with Calvin many years @ SKF Industries . He was a very nice and friendly man.
Olene and I went to his shows and always always enjoyed The good music.
I never heard say him angry toward anyone or say anything negative about anyone..
He was a very nice Gentleman, and will be missed by all who knew Him

He was such a kind man. I have so many fond memories of him at the music barn.
Christina Myself and Boys always enjoyed going to the Haywood Music Barn..He and Patty were always Gracious and Friendly when we attended. He is playing Music in Heaven tonight
