Mary Katherine London, 86 of the Hiseville community, in Barren County died Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Glasgow. Born June 9, 1935 to the late Arthur and Louie Borden Hughes, she lived the entirety of her life in the Hiseville area.
Following marriage to Jack London in 1954, she lived a beautiful life on the farm working with her family, quilting and caring for those she loved.
A member of South Green St Church of Christ, the mother of three children, Granny to seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren was the epitome of what a loving wife and mother should be.
Katherine is survived by her Husband, Jack of nearly 68 years, Son Randy H London (Teresa), Daughter Faye Holley (Steve), Daughter in Law Dee Dee, preceded in death by her Son Gary and survived by one brother Jimmy Hughes (Bonnie). Granny is also survived by grandchildren, Lori Beth Stephens (Todd), Matthew London (Betsy), Amanda Fry (Branden), Sheena Humphrey (Keith), Brooke Glass (Matt), Emily Mitchell (AJ), and Ashley Lawler (Dakota) along with her 13 great-grandchildren whom she adored.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased in death by sisters, Beatrice Firkins, Jewell Rigdon and brother, Herschel Hughes.
Funeral services will be held at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home on Sunday, January 9 at 2 PM, with visitation on Saturday from 4-8. Burial will follow at Hiseville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home, 1020 Glenview Drive, Glasgow, KY 42141.
