Morris Howard McKinney
December 2, 1970 ~ February 18, 2022
Morris Howard McKinney, 51, Glasgow, died Friday, February 18, 2022 at the T J Samson Community Hospital from complications of Covid. He was born December 2, 1970 in Glasgow, KY to the late Paul H. McKinney and Mary Lois Clark Reece.
Morris is survived by his wife of 28 years Sherry Lynn McKinney and two children, Brandon (Cora) McKinney and Kaitlin (Amanda) Bryant. He was a very proud “Pa” to Landon and Kaden “Meatball” McKinney. The love Morris had for his wife was like that out of a “Fairy Tale”. Sherry was his pride and joy. He took pride in raising his two children Brandon and Kaitlin; but his two grandsons ruled his world, he so loved Landon and Kaden “Meatball”, spoiled was an understatement.
He is also survived by his mother Mary Reece; one brother William “Willie” McKinney (Tina); two sisters: Patricia (Billy) Wix and Crystal McKinney Elmore (James); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Kathy McKinney and one brother Tommy Howard McKinney.
Morris was a former employee of Bowling Green Concrete. He had recently started a business ( Complete Concrete) with his brother William. Morris enjoyed life to the fullest and he gave Covid a run for the money; he fought an amazing fight.
To know Morris was to love him. He always had a funny remark and fast comeback. He was loved by so many. He was a true friend.
We love you and we will miss you. We’ll keep you tucked away in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, we love you always. We would like to ask our friends and family that in lieu of flowers, you donate to the funeral home for burial expenses.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday and continue Monday morning until time for service.
