James Depp “Jimmie” Martin

James Depp “Jimmie” Martin, 78, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the son of the late James Seth and Lucille Christie Martin.
He is survived by his daughter: Dodie Leslie; one step-daughter: Heather VanCleave; four grandchildren: Anthony Hopkins, Celecia Henry, Dalton Leslie and Marjorie Barns; two great-grandchildren: Jacoby Leslie and Rizz Henry; two sisters: Barbara Gearlds and Linda Ballard; special friend and mother of his children: Connie Banta.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son: James Frank Martin; three sisters: Margie Green, Betty Harrison and Elizabeth Ann Bruce.
Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Jimmy was one of the nicest man I ever known, he always had a smile.. I’m gonna miss him waving at me when he would go down the road and I’d be outside.. he is definitely in a beautiful place now..RIP I’m gonna miss you..

Jimmy was my brother- in – law and he was a good one ,He at one time was married too my sister but even after their divorce he still was my brother-in-law and he always treated me as his little sister. He called me miss Ann . I have always stayed in touch with him checking on him its hard to believe he want be here any longer but the lord was really for him. Go rest high now til the day we all come together in christ ,love ya Jim !!! R.I.P. Miss Ann
