Russell Austin
November 5, 1952 ~ December 18, 2022
Russell Eugene Austin, 70, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of Dorothy Jean Bush Austin and the late Russell Howard “R. H.” Russell loved woodworking, auctions, hauling around his many friends from the Amish community and just striking up a conversation with anyone. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was retired from Dana corporation.
Besides his mother: he is survived by two sons: Cory Austin (Kasey) and Neal Austin (Stephanie); three bonus children: Marla Dearormond (Sam), Marlin Perry and Michael Perry (Samantha); lifelong partner: Brenda Perry; five grandchildren: Meghan, Peyton, Hayli, Cooper and Ellis; six bonus grandchildren: Luke, Eli, Oakley, Braylen, Kayden and Kelvin; one brother: David Sisco (Martha); three sisters: Prytha Wilson (Leslie), Gwen Barbour and Mary Anne Mathews (Tracy); four nieces and nephews: Brian Mathews, Brent Wilson, Derek Saltsman and Wendy Sexton.
Funeral will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday and after 9:00 am Wednesday until time for services at the funeral home.
