Robert G. Simpson, Jr.

Robert Garner Simpson, Jr. age 79, passed away on July 12, 2023 at U K Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was a son of the late Robert Garner Simpson Sr. and Ida Bell Cyphers Simpson. He was born on February 15, 1944 in Columbia, Kentucky and later moved to Glasgow, Kentucky.
He retired from USDAFSA in 2006 as Chief Program Specialist.
He is survived by is wife of 47 years, Judy Spurling Simpson; three children, Lynn (Jimmy) Harlow, Scott Simpson and Ann (Scott) Proffitt; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; one sister, Sharon Denham (Harold); one brother, Tony Simpson (Lynn).
Graveside services will be 4:00 pm Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home starting at noon on Sunday until 3:45 pm.
So very sorry to hear of Robert Garner’s passing. I’m out of town and won’t be able to attend visitation. Prayers for all of the family.
