Joseph Litera Jr.
Joseph Litera, Jr. 78, Glasgow, passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Indiana, he was the son of the late Joseph Litera, Sr. and Mary Berkowicz. He was a Catholic by faith; an accountant and Prosthetist, C.P.; and a United States Marine having served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife Marcia Gayle Pieters Litera; one son, Joseph Litera III; two grandsons: Joseph Davis Litera IV and Fletcher Litera; three sisters-in-law, Rayne Litera (Tim), Mary Lou Pieters (Bob), and Diane Pieters (Marty). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Litera.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass to follow. Expressions of sympathy are requested to St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV, or South Central Kentucky Cultural Center.
