Imogene Meadows

          Imogene “Jean” Meadows, 96, Glasgow, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at Barren Health & Rehab Center.  A native of Butler County, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Zora Lindsey Adkins.  She was a retired line worker at Holley Carburetor in Bowling Green and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church.

          Survivors include two children: Coy “Coach” Meadows of Glasgow and Verona Johnson (Bill) of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren: Leigh Anne Botts (Joey) of Glasgow, Chad Meadows (Lori) of Arcata, California, Laura Beth Akers (Bob) of Louisville, and Michelle Wedig (Scott) of Bridgeton, Missouri; ten great-grandchildren: Griffin Botts (Eleni Georgiadis), Grayson Botts, Peyton Botts, Asher Meadows, Avery Meadows, Braden Meadows, Olivia Wedig, Grant Wedig, Landon Akers, and Mason Akers; one great-great grandson, Kosmas Botts; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Young Meadows; daughter-in-law, Sharon Meadows; three brothers: J. W. Adkins, Charles Adkins, and Palmer Adkins; and two sisters: Louise Brizendine and Billie Flenner.

          Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Bowling Green at 3:00 p.m.  Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Due to the threat of dangerous weather conditions, the burial at Chapel Hill has been postponed until 1:00 p.m. Thursday. We hope all of you will remain safe during this threatening time.
