Shirley Palmore

June 8, 1940          ~          June 25, 2024

Shirley Ann Palmore, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family June 25, 2024. She was born June 8, 1940 in Mansfield, Illinois to the late Jordan and Myrtle Pace. Shirley was a faithful woman and a follower of Jesus Christ. Her life was a living example of the golden rule; treat others as you would want to be treated. Shirley was known for her infectious smile and laugh, she lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, seamstress, and later retired from Eaton Axle in Glasgow, KY. Shirley always looked forward to her retirement, she loved to travel, she loved to cook, was highly skilled with crochet needles, spoiling her grandchildren, she loved playing cards, loved her soap operas, pretty jewelry, She had a passion for growing flowers. Shirley had quite a sweet tooth, she loved her chocolate.
Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. 

She was the beloved mother of Joey Palmore (Susan), Angie Lovell (Charles) and Maria White(Chris), proud grandmother of Matt (Amanda), Tamra, Josh, Kristen (Jacob), Kelsey, CJ, Scott (Sheyenne), Suzanne(Rob) and 11 great grandchildren. Sisters Jeanette Norman and Doris Bullington (Dennis) Brother-Deanie Pace, sister-in-law Geneane McGuire and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Former Husband, Haskell “Hack” Palmore, sister-in-law: Linda Pace, brother-in-law, Bobby Norman.

Funeral will be 2:00 Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 10:00 am Saturday until time for services.
