Reba Williams Smith
Reba Williams Smith, age 84, of Bowling Green left this earthly world and was called home to our Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Reba was born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky on August 26, 1939 to the late Lena Clark Williams and Wilbur Thomas Williams Sr. and was raised Methodist.
She was a loving mother to Steve Smith and Rebecca Alderson. She raised her children with love, compassion, and devotion. She was a constant force to those she loved. Her family gave her purpose.
She traveled the United State to watch her granddaughter, Kendall play travel, high school, and college softball. She was the proudest grandmother and she wasn’t afraid to say that Kendall was the best. She also found joy and loved working outside with her flowers. She was a fabulous cook and avid bingo player. Reba will be greatly missed by everyone. She doted on each of her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Lena Williams, brother Junior Williams, and sisters, Jean Kirtley and Mary Diehl.
She is survived by her children Steve Smith and Rebecca Alderson of Bowling Green, grandchildren: Kristin Potter, Madison Crousore (Shain), Kendall Smith (Josh), Anna Alderson, Jesse Alderson, Hannah Alderson, Emme Alderson, great grandchildren Granger and Oaklee Crousore, brother Paul Williams (Pat) from Hardinsburg, two very special friends Penny Reece Smith and Chris Alderson, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cremation was chosen. There will be a private family burial at Sand Knob Cemetery located in Breckenridge County with memorial service to be planned at a later date. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
