Wilma Dillingham

          Wilma Rose Dillingham, 90, Glasgow, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 17, 2024 at her residence.  A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late S. B. Johnson and Rose Bailey Johnson.

          Wilma was a former clerk at Folk’s Department Store followed by her employment at Handmacher Fashions.  She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church.  She was also a dedicated member of the Glasgow Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of which she served several terms as Worthy Matron.  She enjoyed working with her flowers and loved spending time with her husband camping at Dale Hollow Lake.

          Survivors include her husband Ray L. Dillingham; one son Charles Dillingham and his wife Marcia of Glasgow; one daughter, Charlotte Parker and her husband Philip of Bowling Green; three grandchildren: Taylor Dillingham, Kevin Baldock, and Nicole Bushman; two great-grandchildren: Ashley Parker and Peyton Bushman; one great-great-grandchild, Braxton Strain; one sister, Eva Spencer; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Lenora Parker Sabens, Louise Turner, and Evelyn Keys; four brothers: Buck Johnson, James Earl Johnson, Albert Johnson, and Eugene Johnson.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be given to Kosair for Kids or to the First United Methodist Church.  Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
