Sue Gillespie

          Sue Gillespie, 76, Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.  She was the daughter of the late C. Howard Peden and Eva Coe Peden.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert P. Gillespie and a brother, Charles Howard Peden.

          After graduation from high school, Sue attended Lindsey Wilson College and received an Associates Degree.  She then attended LPN School and became a nurse, working at T J Samson Community Hospital until her retirement.  In her spare time, she loved sewing and quilt making.  She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

          Survivors include three children: Emily Ogles and her husband Lance of Glasgow, Micah Taylor of Murfreesboro, and Brian Taylor and his wife Jan of Ormond Beach, Florida; one grandson, Taylor Ogles; two sisters: Joann Peden Smith and Wanda Peden; three nieces and nephews.

          A memorial graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Peden Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 at the cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
