Mary Etta Rigsby

     Mary Etta Riley Rigsby, age 87, of Glasgow, KY, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  Born on June 1, 1937, in Burkesville, Ky, Mrs. Rigsby was a devoted Christian woman and dedicated homemaker.  Her faith was a central part of her life, and she was a cherished member of Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Eighty Eight, Ky.  Mary was saved and made a profession of faith in 1965.  She married Dillard Eldon Rigsby on September 4, 1965.Together, they built a legacy of love and devotion that inspired all who knew them. Her gentle spirit and love for her family and faith left a lasting impact on all who knew her.  

     Mary is survived by her loving husband, Dillard E. Rigsby and her son, Kevin and his wife Freda of Glasgow.  Some of her greatest blessings were her grandchildren, she worshiped the ground they walked on and they loved her beyond measure.  Her grandchildren are Nick Rigsby Stephanie Rigsby, Megan Pedigo and her husband John, Amberly Fishback (Justin Calvert), Matthew England and his wife Christina. She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Kurt Morgan, Lily Pedigo and Audrey Calvert.  She also leaves some special pets, Miley, Opie, Simon,& BB.  

    She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Roxie Riley, her son Eric Wayne Rigsby, her brothers’ Leonard Riley, Earl Riley, Fred Riley, Dallas Riley, Dennis Riley, Benton Riley and Orville Riley. Her family and friends are comforted in knowing that her life was a testament to grace, kindness, and faith, and they take solace in the beautiful memories she leaves with us.  She will be profoundly missed and we covet your prayers during this extremely sad time. 

     Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held after 4:00pm Friday at the funeral home and after 10:00am Saturday prior services.
