Roy D. Kinslow

          Roy D. Kinslow, 85, Glasgow, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at NHC Healthcare Center.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Tompie Botts Kinslow and Lydia Mae Houchens Kinslow.

          Mr. Kinslow was a lifelong dairy farmer who also had a love for horses and dogs; he could train them to do most anything.  He was also a lifelong member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, and a member of the Barren County Cattlemen’s Association.

          Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margie Craine Kinslow; two children: Cynthia Cross and husband Tim, and Stanford Kinslow and wife Donna all of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Shanna Vibbert (Bill), Kristena Stephens (Cody), Westley Kinslow (Whitney), and Jake Cross (Sydney); five great-grandchildren: Wade Vibbert, Raelynn Stephens, Morgan Kinslow, Levi Kinslow, and Blakley Kinslow; one brother, Leslie Kinslow (Wanda); one sister, Betty Ann Staples; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Gus Kinslow and Charles Kinslow; and by four sisters: Frankie Peden, Nell Houchens, Margaret Crain Jackman, and Marie Ramey.

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 707 Dripping Springs Road, Glasgow, KY 42141.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
