William S Browning

          William Stanley Browning, 89, passed from this life unto Eternal Life Monday, December 16, 2024 at NHC Glasgow, Kentucky.  William was born December 15, 1935 to the late John Stanley and Elizabeth Pearl Bunch Browning.

          Mr. Browning will best be remembered for his “Love” to his home church, Neals Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as a long time Elder until his death.  He formerly served as trustee to the Neals Chapel Cemetery.

          His livelihood was sharing stories from the past whether it be of his milk hauling days for Carnation, driving a school bus, or working at SKF and retiring from Eaton Axle where he held “Clock #1”. His co-workers fondly “pinned” him as “Bill”.

          Bill is survived by his children: Lowell (Pam Hodges), Joe (Vickie Jones), Pamela Browning, and Nicki Vittitoe; grandchildren: Wade (Alexandria) Browning, Kasey (Nathan) Peters, and Ashley Browning; great-grandchildren: Isla and Jolie Browning, Kasan and Karisan Peters; sister-in-law, Helen Browning; special friend, Betty Browning; special sitter, Jackie Pursley; several nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Julia Palmore Browning; a grandson, Dustin Browning; and a brother, Doug Browning.

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Neals Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Neal Chapel Cemetery, c/o Joe Michael Bunch, 4674 New Salem Road, Glasgow, KY 42141.
