Alex Reed, born on May 15, 1967 in Horse Cave, KY passed away June 2, 2024 at his home in Ratcliff, KY. Alex was the beloved child of the late Verlis T. Maxey and late Murlene Bradley Brewer.
Alex is survived by his children Portia (McClinin) Gray, Tyler Reed, Bridget Reed, Devin Reed, Je’von Reed, Lexie Reed, Madison Reed, Aaniya Reed, Ava-Claire Reed, Destinee, Dynasti, and DeAndrea. Alex is also grandparent to two grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Charles Reed and Terry Reed (Fleicia), a sister Cecilia Wood, two aunts Anie Lois Maxey. Earnestine Dixon (Rev. Stanford) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. (Charlie Earl Reed).
Alex attended Caverna High School for his high school education and furthered his studies at Western Kentucky University. After his education he pursued a career as a factory worker, where he worked diligently and made lasting friendships. Alex will always be remembered for his dedication of his work ethic. He will be missed by all who knew and loved them. A graveside memorial service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Allen’s Seminary Cemetery.
