Carolyn L. Gammon Shirley, 77, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late James Henry Skaggs and Mamie Basham Miller.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie Shirley; three sons: Billy Jerome Gammon, Richard H. Gammon and Robert Earl Gammon; two step-children: Ben Shirley (Melinda) and Jennifer Greenwell (Russ); several grandchildren, including Jennifer Jones and Christopher Nay (Lesbia); several great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters: Sandra Miller and Carolyn Marie Dugard; two brothers: Jimmy Skaggs and James Skaggs; six sisters: Dorothy Williams, Patty Alvey, Nelda Stevens, Rosetta Guess, Loretta Kitchens and Janie May Bumpus.
Funeral will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday until time for services.
