Cathy Jessie, 60, Knob Lick, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 suddenly at her residence. She was the daughter of Joyce Edwards Gordon and the late Richard Mathis. She was a member Big Meadow Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother she is survived by three children: Chris Brown (Heather), Joy Roche (Chris), and Cody Jessie (Misty); eight grandchildren: Caleb Brown (Haley), Caitlyn Mcwhorter (Sam), Elijah Brown (Bailee), Logan Mcwhorter (Karleah), Kera Mcworther, Caden Jessie, Eli Jessie, and Ryan Jessie; six great-grandchildren; brother David Mathis; two sisters Suzanne Brookins (Ron), and Shanna Patton, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her sister Vicky Bowles.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 8, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Saturday prior to service. In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
