Delsie Powell
September 6, 1930 ~ June 5, 2002
Delsie Powell, 71, Glasgow, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Annie Lawrie Furlong and Johnnie White. She was the widow of the late Everett Powell, who preceded her in death April 22, 1986.
Mrs. Powell graduated from Austin Tracy High School in 1949. She was a self-employed seamstress and continued this work until her death. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, David Alan Powell and his wife Wende; one daughter, Rita Jean Duvall and her husband Ricky; two grandchildren, Chase Powell and Sara Duvall all of Glasgow; one brother, George White of Temple Hill and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John White of Glasgow and Paul White of Louisville, one sister, Mary Annie White, and one granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Duvall.
Funeral will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 AM Friday.
