Dolores Jane Wade
January 18, 1934 ~ March 2, 2003
Dolores Jane Wade, 69, Glasgow, died Sunday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Mae Eubank Gunnels. She was a foster grandmother with Barren County Headstart, a retired seamstress at Handmacher Fashions and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Wade and his wife, Dottie, of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Malena Barrick and her husband, David, of Glasgow, Bobby L. Wade of Glasgow; one great-granddaughter, Brookelyn Renfro of Glasgow; one sister, June Wallace and her husband, Keith, of Glasgow; one sister-in-law, Betty Gunnels of Nicholasville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Cindy J. Wade and one brother, Laydell Gunnels.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
