Dorothy S. Basil
December 4, 1922 ~ October 29, 2002
Dorothy S. Basil, 79, Glasgow, died Tuesday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Mary Ann Garner and Judge Leslie Shader, she was a retired seamstress at Kentucky Pants and a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Danny J. Basil and his wife, Marla, Ronnie Basil, and Richard G. Basil and his wife, Donna, all of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Kevin Williams and his wife, Cindy, of Glasgow, Sue Ellen Goad and her husband, Steve, and Rev. Kelly Williams and his wife, Tasha, all of Colorado Springs, Scott Basil, Matthew Basil and Justin Basil all of Glasgow; two step-grandchildren, Amanda Coomer and Dwayne Marr and his wife, Dana, all of Glasgow; one brother, William Henry Shader and his wife, Mary Helen, of Glasgow; one sister, Lucille McGuire and her husband, Paul, of Glasgow; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
