Gloria Jean Pearson, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away on February 7, 2024 at the Belmont Health and Rehabilitation in Columbus, Indiana. She was born December 18, 1942 in Edmonson County, Kentucky and was the daughter of Anita (Steen) Gentry and James Gentry.

As a graduate of Valley High School in Jefferson County, Kentucky, Gloria was employed by various companies, most notably RCA Bloomington, Thermogas Propane, Pearson Insurance Agency, Indiana University Linguistics Department and Jefferson County School Corporation in Louisville.

Throughout the years, Gloria demonstrated her boundless love for family by being a constant presence at her children and grandchildren’s sports events, graduations, and other milestones. Her unwavering support and enthusiastic attendance reflected the depth of her commitment to those she cherished most.

Her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family who were fortunate enough to share in her love and presence. Gloria’s memory will be cherished by her sons Richard Pearson and Bryan Pearson; grandchildren, Lindsay Cook, Madissen Pearson and Matthew Pearson; and great grandchild, Asher Cook.

A celebration of Gloria Jean Pearson’s life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City, Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11:00 am Thursday until time for services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
