Gordon Burris, 79, of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Greenview Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was a son of the late Rev. John Thomas Burris and Aner Zorader Shirley Burris. He was a retired milk truck driver.
He is survived by his wife: Jayne Burris; five children: Jeff Burris (Kathy), Chrissy Mansfield (Lee), Chris Burris (Steph), Rhonda Harper and Tommy Harper (Stephanie); seven grandchildren: Zack Burris (Jessica), Jacob Burris (Ayla), Thomas Mansfield, Tiffany Waters (Alan), Allen Harper, Chris Clan (Ellie) and Ashley Mansfield; eleven great-grandchildren: one sister: Elsie Jessie; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife: Peggy Faye Jessie Burris; two brothers; Junior Burris and Roger Burris; three sisters: Ruby Williams, Helen Jackson and Mary Wilson.
Funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 9:00 am Monday until time for services.
