Harry W. Berry, 77, Norris Court, Glasgow, died Tuesday at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Ellis and Ethel Franklin Berry. Mr. Berry received his law degree from the University of Louisville in 1949 and began practicing law in Glasgow in 1950. He was a former Barren County Attorney and Glasgow City Attorney. He had served as a member of the House of Delegates of the Kentucky Bar Association and also as President of the Barren County Bar Association. He was a member of Camp 658 of Woodmen of the World and had retired as national secretary of Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society of Omaha, Nebraska in 1984. He was also a member of TPA, a veteran of WWII, VFW, American Legion and the Glasgow Baptist Church, where he had also served as Sunday School Teacher.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Gabhart Berry; one son, Greg Berry and his wife, Leslie of Glasgow; two daughters, Cheryl Ambach and her husband, Jack, and Lori Houchens and her husband, Ricky all of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Andy and Laura Klapheke, Bridget and Steven Houchens, Rachel, Sara and Rebecca Berry; four brothers, Dr. Milton P. Berry, Kenneth Berry and Wayne Berry all of Louisville and Dr. Julian Berry of Texas.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association .
