Harry Wilson Taylor, 82, Hollow Road, Glasgow, died Monday at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Metcalfe County, he was the son of the late Samuel B. and Lillie Myrtle Smith Taylor. He was a retired hardwood lumber inspector, a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Davidson Taylor; one daughter, Rebecca Taylor Pierce of Louisville; four grandchildren, Susie Rowe of Terre Haute, IN., Tammy Bradford, Donald Ray Pierce and Harry K. Pierce, Jr. all of Louisville, KY; one sister, Josie Talbert of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will provide military honors. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
