Howard Dickson Taylor, 75, Glasgow, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.  A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Charles Lawrence Taylor and Ruby Frances Dickson Taylor.

After graduating Glasgow High School, Howard attended Western Kentucky University before being called to duty with the U S Army during the Vietnam era.  After his term of service, he returned to Western to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.  He tried a couple of unrewarding job placements before beginning his near 50 year career as a farmer, of which he was extremely proud.  Along with his chosen career, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and canoeing.  He was a member of the Park Church.

Survivors include his wife Jerry Kaye Scott Taylor; three children: Brian Taylor and his wife Jan of Ormond Beach, Florida, Emily Ogles and her husband Lance of Glasgow, and Micah Taylor of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren: Taylor Ogles and John Perry Ogles; four great-grandchildren: John Thomas Ogles, Aubrey Ogles, Adleigh Cook, and Andy Cook; one niece, Amy Edwards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Taylor Edwards.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Neal’s Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
