Lois Pace Norman

d. November 15, 2024

Lois Pace Norman, 91, Glasgow, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at the NHC Healthcare Center, two days before her 92 nd birthday.  Born at Lecta, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edison Pace and Lena Williams Pace; and the widow of the late Rondal David “Bully” Norman.

Lois was a hard working lady who would tackle many things.  She was a former cashier and bookkeeper for the A & P Grocery Store in Glasgow; but most of her adult career was spent working with her husband in the restaurant businesses that they owned and operated.  They owned the Dairy-O-Drive Inn, tastee-freeze on Park Avenue; but they were most widely known for the original “Bully’s Catfish” at Haywood.  In later years, they also had the Town House Restaurant on Happy Valley Road in Glasgow.  She was a member of the Neal’s Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews along with three sisters-in-law: Jeanett Pace Norman, Elizabeth Norman, and Delores Norman.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Emogene “Gene” Pace; and by five brothers: Jewell Pace, Noble Pace, Robert Louis Pace, James Buell Pace, and Harold “Squeaky” Pace.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
