Margaret H Perkins

Margaret Louise Perkins, 81, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Shives and Katie Lacy and the stepdaughter of the late Johnny Lacy. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a friend to everyone. 

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Manning (Chris) and her son Bart Hammer (Heather); three grandchildren: Jacob Manning (Mackenzie), Tyler Hammer (Tessa), and Hadleigh Moore (Josiah); and three great grandchildren: Nolan, Collins, and Grady. Although she was an only child, she was very close with her sister in law, Nancy Garrett.  

Besides her parents, she was proceeded in death by her first husband Paul Hammer, her last husband, Larry Perkins, and her granddaughter, Chelsea Manning.  

She was a loyal employee at South Central Rural Telephone, and retired from there in 2007. She was also an avid collector of antiques her whole life and enjoyed taking care of her plants and flowers.  

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home, and she will be laid to rest immediately following with a graveside service at Happy Valley Memorial Garden.
