Mary Ann Green Cherry Oliver, 76 of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by her loved ones. She was married to the late Jimmy Oliver of Glasgow, KY. She was the daughter of the late Chris Elvis Green and Virginia Irene Runyon Green of Glasgow, KY.
Anyone that truly knew Mary Ann knew that she thrived, excelled and had a true a passion and love for being a Realtor. She obtained her Real Estate License in October, 1992. Mary Ann was a passionate advocate for the real estate profession, dedicating countless hours to advancing the industry and supporting fellow members. Mary Ann’s vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence during her 30 years of membership will leave an indelible mark on our South Central Kentucky Association of REALTORS and the community we serve. She held the position President of South Central Kentucky Association of REALTORS three separate years 1998, 2012 & 2015. She was named Realtor of the Year in 2001. In 2008 Mary Ann was awarded the Tommy Sabens Distinguished Service Award. Mary Ann always put her buyers interests first and made sure that she met their wants and needs when selling them a house.
Her next love was going to her farm and spending time with her pet cows. She would always take several loaves of bread and hand feed each and everyone of them.
She is survived by one son: Anthony Cherry(Misti England); five grandchildren: Kayti Cherry(Zack Young), Tanner Cherry(Shelby Vanvoorhis), Izzie Cherry, Kaleb England and McKenzie England(William Shockley); three great-grandchildren: Corbyn Young, Saylor Young, and Sophie Young; one sister Delores Payne; one sister-in-law: Linda Green; two nieces: Sherry Wix and Missy Krayenhagen (Andy); life time friend: Brenda Cary Gillentine (Robert). Her beloved pet bulls Max, Jessie and the gang. Several nieces, nephew and cousins also survive.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother: George “Joe” Green; Two nephews: Jody Green and Kelly Harper; one great-grand daughter: Saylem Young.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with the burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 10:00 am Monday until time for services.
