Mary Susan Saltsman
April 4, 1921 ~ November 15, 2001
Mary Susan “Boots” Saltsman, 80, Glasgow, died Thursday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Joe and James Minnie Garner Coomer, she was a homemaker, a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church and the widow of the late Coy Lee Saltsman.
Survivors include five children, James William Saltsman of Glasgow, Janice Carol Pierce and her husband, James of Glasgow, C.L. Saltsman and his wife, Judy of Hope, Indiana, Alice Jane Piper and her husband, Gilbert of Knob Lick, and Connie Thomas and her husband, Danny of Glasgow; 10 grandchildren, Sheila Saltsman, Cindy Caffrey, Rhonda Norris, Sherry Shepherd, Rocky and Kevin Pierce, Tony Piper, Angela Thomerson, MaDonna Spurgeon and Melissa Polley; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
